Dr. Atkins is gravely ill after falling on the ice recently. He apparently struck his head. Several operations have failed to remove the blood clot on his brain. Doctors give
him little chance of recovery. Dr. Atkins is currently in a coma. My daughter has recently started the Atkins diet. Mainly to reduce her high triglicerides level and to
reduce her overall cholesterol.

Where do they get young men like this? Martin Savidge of CNN, embedded with the 1st Marine Battalion, was talking
with 4 young marines near his foxhole this morning live on CNN. He had been telling the story of how well the marines had been looking out for and
taking care of him since the war started. He went on to tell about the many hardships the marines had endured since the war began and how they all look
after one another. He turned to the four and said he had cleared it with their commanders and they could use his video phone to call home.
The 19 year old marine next to him asked Martin if he would allow his platoon sergeant to use his call to call his pregnant wife back home whom
he had not been able to talk to in three months. A stunned Savidge who was visibly moved by the request shook his head and
the young marine ran off to get the sergeant. Savidge recovered after a few seconds and turned back to the three young
marines still sitting with him and asked which one of them would like to call home first, the marine closest to him responded with out a moments
hesitation " Sir, if is all the same to you we would like to call the parents of a buddy of ours, Lance Cpl Brian Buesing of Cedar Key, Florida
who was killed on 3-23-03 near Nasiriya to see how they are doing". At that Martin Savidge totally broke down and was unable to speak. All he
could get out before signing off was "Where do they get young men like
this?" One of the commentators finally responded "America"

Everyone is so worried about "life after war in Baghdad." As if taking Saddam Hussein out of their life is not enough. Bleeding Hearts of the world are always looking for the next thing to whine about. Just look back 7 days. People were going nuts that the Military Plan was bad. Where in the Hell do they get their knowledge. Now,
after three weeks the Regime is broken, so they forget all that from last week and start crying over life after war. Curl up and Shut up for once. These are the people that
noone can live with in life. Goodbye.

Did we or Didn't we? (Get the Hussein family) That is the question. Regardless of the correct answer, fighting continues today. One thing we learned for certain.
Saddam Hussein spent tons of money on himself, that should have gone to the poor people of Iraq. Billions of dollars in hollow, cold palaces that could have fueled
industry startups that provide jobs to the masses. Imagine a country with rich oil resources, money flowing in daily. Enough money to feed a country. And NONE of
it used for humanitarian. These cold hearted acts alone make this regime GUILTY as charged. They have no say in their defense. They have no point of interest. This
is common CRIMINALS and deserve no respect. I'm glad the US is there to take this regime out. I'm glad we have a President with balls enough to make the tough
decision to once and for all, and rid the world of another anti-Christ.
TO ALL ANTIWAR FOOLS OUT THERE: Be glad that there are people in the world to take action on your behalf. Even when you don't have the mental capacity
to appreciate freedom. Or the balls to be tough minded when situations require it.

Recently a Gentleman was interviewed on National Television that proclaimed to be a "successful human shield." We have pondered this remark and decided this:
To successfully be a "human shield" one would have had to take a bullet so to speak. This theory coming from the decision that if you stood in front of
something or someone and no shots were fired in the direction of that something or someone, you in effect were only just standing around and this object just
happened to be behind you. Conversely if shots were fired and you shielded the intended target with your body, you would have successfully shielded the target.
Based on this theory a successful human shield would either be very bloody or dead. Since the Gentleman were neither of these we have to contend that he was
just hanging out for a while, then left and proclaimed himself successful. ALSO this same Gentleman proudly proclaimed that he has been an activist for 40 years.
Wow, for 40 years this guy disagreed with virtually everything, every president, every lawmaker, everyone. Where's the pride in that. Pride is when you defend your
country with words or actions. Pride is when you know that you may not agree with everyone, you are civil enough to realize that others have valid points. So after
all this we have decided that this so called "Human Shield" is nothing more than an egotist looking for another fix. Good Day!

Wow! We were soo busy on 4.2.03 that we never submitted the daily bloggg. Anyway today (4.3.03) we are happy to report that things are back to normal. Please
remember that the description of normal is purely subjective. Weather here in Central Pennsylvania has been terrific. This good weather, in fact, had a lot to do with
our being too busy 4.2.03 to submit. DID YOU READ THIS BLOG? Take a moment to say yes on our return email address. We appreciate that.
It continues to amaze us that the general press probes and hunts for anything to use against our Military and it's leaders. But the REAL subject today is:
HUMAN SHIELDS. We will define Human Shields: Non Iraqi's that traveled to Iraq to put their body in harms way, to: "Give Peace a Chance" --Tears--
The average Iraqi is as amazed as we are. It goes to show you that under the right circumstances people from any country are willing to be suicide bombers. It is the opinion of this writer that these people have a very destitute social life. Their ego requires them to be center stage but their ambition in life has prevented it. So be an Extreme Peace Activist Now friends you may consider this a new Journalistic term: Extreme Peace Activist (EPR); defined as: one who will give their life for a cause that has no chance in hell of working. It's not surprising that Peter Arnnet took a job with a British rag. I know from experience that when you are suddenly out of work, and you feel you have so much
to contribute, that you frantically look for someone that sees the same value in you, that you see in yourself. Unfortunately, Peter Arnnet will be the same journalist
with this new company as he was when he worked for prestigious firms. That means he will continue to twist facts to make headlines and in this case sell them
to Iraqi media. HOWEVER, having said all that, it is this writer's opinion that competition in the press these days has become so fierce that the need to get
something "sensational" in print or through television or radio has become so necessary that journalists are coming up with their own ways to "create"
sensationalism. This makes the companies as responsibile for "latest news" as the people that write it. TV, Radio, Newsprint people will never change, at some
point laws will need to be in place to assure only factual reporting occurs from our "1st Amendment Crowd"

A prominent reporter and his production team that spent many frightful days in Baghdad has been released by NBC and National Geographic. Apparently this journalist
gave information to the Iraqi Press that he made up in his head. This is just another case of Press feeding on Press. One journalist makes a guess other journalists pick
up on the guess and add to it. Finally, this made up, expanded information is out there as fact within the journalist community. Then you have off-the-wall information
being reported. This reporter could be in deep s--- because of his loose lips. The Press has a very important role in our society. This important role is simple:
REPORT THE FACTS. Facts of course are the truth. Truth is gained from information given by people in the know, certainly not from other reporters. It may be the
simple way to get information, but it's the WRONG way.

So what did YOU do interesting today. For most it was the last day of the work week. For me just another day.
I've entered into a stage of life that is interesting. Normally I just had little desire to be a big time around the house handyman.
In fact I've lived my life believing "if it works...DON'T CHANGE ANYTHING"
Obviously that thinking don't go down well with the spouse, if you are married.
Anyway lately I notice I'm doing more of the handyman special work without being pushed. THIS SCARES THE HELL OUT OF ME!!!!
Yesterday, without any prodding from the wife, what so ever, I found myself in the basement painting block sealant on the furnace room wall.
I almost finished the job, but the fumes from this sealant were taking effect, not to mention traveling throughout the whole house.
So I'll finish in warm weather when every door and window can be open.
Today comprised of watching the CNN War coverage, grocery shopping, chothing shopping, and My Favorite, Sugar Free Candy shopping.
Tomorrow is Saturday and the Grandchildren will be visiting. This will be a busy day. Tomorrow night we will have dinner with David and his family.
Pork and Sourkraut is on the menu. It's one of my favorites. Have a good night all. God bless America, our Military Heroes and all the innocent Iraqi People.

What are these so called Peace Demonstrators think they are doing.

The best answer I can come up with is this:

Americans that voted for Al Gore are still so pissed off, this is a good way to lash back at George W. Bush

Other Countries: Those people have been forever major jealous of the success (as they see it) of Americans.
Peace protesting is their way of lashing out at the country they harbor jealousy for.

The truth is Sadam Hussein owes France and Russia a lot of money. These countries realize they won't get paid if he's gone.

It's a small world these days. With the Internet and Weblogs, everybody knows what everyone else is doing. It's GREAT.

A word for our troops serving a major cause in Iraq and many other countries in this world. THANK YOU!!!!

NBC News said tonight that blogging is the most popular activity online. I wonder if they meant after sex.

Maybe all bloggers are sexers, or vice versa.

Anyway NBC News highlighted the Google format.

They also highlighted the "Where is RAED" blogger from Iraq, Salam Pax.

Mr. Pax has not contributed for several days, I hope he's OK and

the lack of contribution is related to his ISP being shut down or something.
